CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
Gentle Flow-
A Vinyasa based practice which develops strength and flexibility. Linking each movement with the breath, this practice includes creative flowing sequences, and classical poses geared towards all levels. The class will also promote deep relaxation of the body & mind. Postures are done in a supported & gentle manner to minimize strain & maximize opening. The class is oriented toward focused breathing & meditation. Open to all levels from beginners to long-time practitioners.
Restorative Yoga Flow-
Promotes deep relaxation of the body & mind. Postures are done in a supported and gentle manner to minimize strain and maximize opening. Class is oriented toward focused breathing & meditation and is open to all levels but especially for seniors, those recovering from injury or those looking for a more meditative practice. In addition to restorative postures, class will be lead through a series of movements that focus on moving with the breath. Special attention is also paid to those poses that help regain and maintain balance that diminishes as we age.
Senior’s Yoga-
As we grow older, muscles and joints tighten causing discomfort and anxiety over physical well-being. Special attention will be paid to flexibility, strength and balance while relieving areas in the body such as the back and hips. The focus will also cover spine and bone health. Stretching, deep breathing and relaxation techniques learned through yoga helps you to remain healthy and active. The only requirement is that you can make it to the floor safely! This class is appropriate for all ages, but will be especially gentle, compassionate, meditative and accessible.
Prenatal Yoga-
The series, conducted in a calm, peaceful environment, will help strengthen the uterus & pelvic muscles, improve circulation & increase overall comfort. A safe, supportive atmosphere allows you to freely discuss any issues or concerns & share the wonderful new changes you and your baby are experiencing. Catering to the needs of the students, this class links yoga postures with breath, helping to bring awareness to the mind & body as well as a connection to your baby. The anatomical focus will also target and relieve shoulders, back, hips and legs while increasing flexibility and muscle tone.
